Above is an audio capture during his post game interview. Only a quarter of the area was left due to the blow out win, but there still was some serious fire coming from the fans. I really wish I got the MVP chants, but got to my phone too late. It gave me straight up CHILLS.
The Linsanity Continues
R.G. hooked me up with his family’s season tickets yesterday for the Knicks vs Kings game. Thanks R.G.!
I was particularly excited because I used to travel to Sacramento when living in San Francisco each time the Warriors would visit Power Balance Pavilion.
And also because Lin would be playing against his former Warriors coach, Keith Smart, who now is the Head Coach of the Kings.
The Knicks, led by Lin’s 13 assists, made the game look effortless. Alley-opps from Lin to Chandler and Fields came early and often as the Kings looked confused to if they should play the shot, guard the passing lane or double team him.
With the win, Lin brings the win streak to 7 since he’s been inserted as a starter.
As a fan of the Warriors, the Bay Area and Lin (a former Warrior from the Bay Area), the Knicks might just have to be my East Coast team because solely because of Jeremy.
Lots of people are giving his PR success to the fact that he’s Asian… but Asian or not, ball don’t lie, and J.Lin’s been balling out of control.
You know what also doesn’t lie? FANS… and there were a lot of Knick fans in the area last night of every ethnicity, age and gender rocking Lin jerseys, t-shirts and even masks!
Because at the end of the day, you have a player that gives you no excuse as to how you should credit him. He’s outperformed expectations, he’s reinvigorated an underperforming team and he’s humble, plain and simple.
This should be the type of player everyone roots for, period… regardless of nothing.
Welcome to New Lob City.
